Dr. Adams has specialized skills in minimally invasive hysterectomy and advanced surgical techniques.
Prior to joining the staff at J.C. Blair, she practiced obstetrics and gynecology at Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring, serving as Nason’s Chairman of Ob/Gyn Services. Previously she worked for St. Vincent Health System Medical Group in Erie, operated a solo practice in Milford, Delaware, and served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army as Chief of Women’s Health Services in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. At Blanchfield Army Community Hospital she directed 11 physicians, 14 advance practice nurses and more than 200 RNs, LPNs and support personnel who served 30,000 females with 65,000 outpatient visits, 2100 obstetrical deliveries, and 500 surgical procedures annually. She introduced electronic medical records, achieved a five year 98% patient satisfaction rating, and received numerous awards including the Army Surgeon General’s Excalibur Award, the Meritorious Service Medal and two Army Achievement medals.
Adams started her career in nursing as an ER nurse and certified registered nurse anesthetist. She then went on to earn her medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology internship and residency at Suburban General Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania. She is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds a Pennsylvania license.
