J.C. Blair Welcomes Two New Vascular Specialists
Two new cardiologists have joined J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital’s Cardiac Care Center: Amit Nanavati, M.D., and Michael Sabatini, M.D., PhD. “We are delighted to introduce two more skilled cardiologists to J.C. Blair’s Cardiac Care Center, who can provide convenient access to cardiology services right here in our community,” stated Lisa Mallon, J.C. Blair President & CEO. They join the group of seven other cardiologists who treat inpatients at J.C. Blair and evaluate outpatients in the hospital’s Cardiac Care Center located in the Second Floor Specialty Care Clinic.
J.C. Blair Volunteers Celebrate Milestone Birthdays with Newborn
Huntingdon, PA, 11/17/14 – J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital volunteers Jane Hearn, 95, (seated) and Jean Itinger, 90, (standing right) welcomed baby Pyper Marie Fisher of Mount Union. Volunteer Hearn celebrated her 95th birthday on Wednesday, November 12 with newborn Pyper while Volunteer Itinger celebrated her 90th on Thursday, November 13.

The staff of the Women's Imaging Center at J.C. Blair invites women to a Pink Rain: Shelter from the Storm Mammography Screening Day on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the Women's Imaging Center to celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
J.C. Blair's New MRI Unit Meets Final Approval
The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) recently awarded J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital's Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Department its final approval for the new wide bore MRI system. The award recognizes that the hospital's new MRI has undergone a rigorous inspection of the facilities, equipment, and safety standards to meet the Department of Health's standards of care.
