J.C. Blair Restricts Visitation Due to Influenza
Huntingdon, PA, 2/20/17 –The administration and staff at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon is asking the community to restrict visitation to the Hospital, due to the number of people with influenza and the contagious nature of the flu. The hospital is modifying its visitation policy temporarily to protect patients, staff and the community.
Effective immediately, restrictions include:
- No one age 16 or under may visit patients in the hospital.
- Only patient’s immediate family or caregiver is permitted to visit.

Blair’s Cardiac Care Center to sponsor the tenth annual Wear Red Day Luncheon on Wednesday, February 1, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. in the Ellis Hall Ballroom at Juniata College. The featured speaker will be Michael Sabatini, M.D., one of J.C. Blair’s six cardiologists. His presentation is entitled “Warning Signs of a Heart Attack? What’s a Woman to Do?” Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance at J.C.
Physician Closes Private Practice and Joins Primary Care Center
Huntingdon, PA, 1/9/17 – Internal medicine physician Dr. Robert Lamey and his office manager and wife Sue have closed their private practice and joined the staff and providers of the Primary Care Center, located at 790 Bryan Street on the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital campus.
The Primary Care Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center and practice of the Broad Top Area Medical Center.
JC Blair Grants Holiday Wishes of 150 Local Kids
Huntingdon, PA (12/22/16) – J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital employees presented gifts for over 150 children to the Salvation Army for their 2016 “Treasures for Children” Campaign.
This marks the 20th year that hospital employees, physicians, and board members have donated their time and treasure to purchase gifts to fulfill the wishes of local children during the Christmas season.
J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital Reports 10th Annual Scott Grugan Memorial 5K Results
Huntingdon, PA (11/16/16) – Members of the Huntingdon community participated in the 10th Annual Scott Grugan Memorial 5K Trail Run and Walk held on Saturday, October 29 at Flag Pole Hill in Huntingdon. People of all ages gathered together to enjoy a walk or run through the wooded trails in memory of Scott Grugan, a well-respected physician, friend, and family member of many of the participants.
