J.C. Blair Foundation Golf Tourney to Benefit New Cath Lab

Huntingdon, PA, 6/9/17 – J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital Foundation is hosting its 19th annual golf tournament on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the American Legion Country Club in Mount Union. Tee off time is at 12 noon. Proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit the new $2.8 million heart catheterization lab at  J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

J.C. Blair Adopts Proven Program at Preventing Type 2 Diabetes

J.C. Blair certified lifestyle coaches will kick off a free Prevent T2 program on June 27 at 4:30 p.m. in J.C. Blair’s Education Center at 860 Bryan Street in Huntingdon. The year-long program is designed for people at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes to learn the skills they need to prevent the onset of diabetes. General Surgeon Joins JC Blair Surgical Care Center

Huntingdon, PA (6/1/2017) – J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon is pleased to announce the appointment of general surgeon I. Darrell Pugh, D.O., to its medical staff. Dr. Pugh joined J.C. Blair's Surgical Care Center team on June 1, 2017.  He brings specialized skills in advanced laparoscopic, minimally invasive, surgical procedures which complements J.C. Blair’s already excellent surgical team and facilities. 

J.C. Blair Plans Heart Catheterization Lab Ribbon Cutting May 30

Huntingdon, PA (5/16/2017) – On Tuesday, May 30, J.C. Blair Health System will celebrate the completion of the new heart catheterization lab at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Health System and elected officials will cut the ceremonial ribbon in the hospital’s main lobby at 4 p.m., followed by tours of the new facility until 6 p.m.  Refreshments will be served. Traffic Delays Possible near Juniata Valley High School on Wednesday, May 3 for National Bike to School Day

Drivers traveling on Rt 305 between Petersburg and Alexandria on Wednesday, May 3, may encounter possible traffic delays between 7:45 – 8:30 a.m. Students from Juniata Valley School District will be participating in the 6th Annual National Bike to School Day and will be biking to school during these times.  Additionally, students will be riding back to the fire halls at 3:00 p.m.

Approximately 30 students will be biking to school Wednesday, May 3, along with parents, teachers and community leaders.

J.C. Blair Exceeds United Way Giving Goal

Huntingdon, PA, 3/9/17 – J.C. Blair Health System employees raised $26,845 for the Huntingdon County United Way, exceeding the 2016-17 campaign goal of $25,000. Campaign chairs, pictured left to right, Gail Young, Haley Parsons and Susan Hess, presented the check to Huntingdon County United Way Director Kathy Armillei.
