Inpatient Physical Therapy

Inpatient Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and/or Speech Therapy may be prescribed by a patient’s physician as part of the treatment plan. The hospital physical rehabilitation team includes a licensed physical therapist, licensed occupational therapist and a physical therapy assistant who works with patients to regain strength and mobility.

J.C. Blair's physical therapists work hands on with our patients for their hospitalization as an inpatient and for patients in our Transitions Swing bed program. This program involves skilled nursing and therapy services -- such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy -- provided in the hospital to prepare patients for their transition to home.  Patients can be admitted into this program from J.C. Blair’s acute care or intensive care units, or from other hospitals, nursing homes, or even their own homes, if they meet the required qualifications.
