This new computerized SimMan was provided to the hospital by its professional liability carrier, CHART, as a tool for training nursing staff on high-risk, low volume situations to prevent medical errors. Juniata College Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) faculty advisor Dr. Deb Kirchhof-Glazier and Juniata College senior Megan Russell accept the first annual Dr. Scott Grugan Memorial Award, presented by Pam Grugan and J.C. Blair Health System Interim President & CEO Lisa Mallon. Russell plans to pursue her doctorate of physical therapy in the fall at Columbia University, New York.
